Emergency services called in for a plane crash at mountain cliffs

27/8/2024

On August 27th, 2024, the minis' emergency services were called in for a crash at mountain cliffs.

They were told by the pilot (who had been injured by the impact) that the plane engine had failed, leading to a collision with the nearby cliffs. At the time we went to investigate, the area had been roped off and the pilot was safely escorted to the hospital.

The pilot, who was flying solo, survived the accident without obtaining any major injuries. Whilst i the hospital recovering, he told our reporters, "I wasn't able to release the rescue pod because of a jam in the release mechanism - otherwise I would have been fine! I'm happy that I survived and the plane is back in the station and undergoing repairs and safety checks."

We then interviewed the two mechanics who transported and fixed the aircraft.

Interviewer: How did you carry the plane from the cliff? Mechanics: We flew it over to the workshop using a carrier.

Interviewer: What did you expect when you were first called? Mechanics: The person who had called was very panicked. We were immediately sent to check it out - we've seen many bad plane accidents but this one was very bad.

Now we hear from Andrea - a witness who was riding her motorbike on the road nearby at the time when the plane hit the cliff.

"I was passing by when I heard a huge crash coming from behind me. I turned back to see what had happened, just in time to see the plane falling through the sky. I called the emergency services and they came very soon. I'm really happy that Pilot survived - we're now quite good friends."

Finally, again from the pilot himself. "I'm already feeling much better. The manufacturers have apologized and have sent me an insurance claim. I expect I'll recover in time for this year's Annual Mini Race. Hopefully nothing like this happens to any of my fellow pilots. Stay safe!"
